Join me for a custom tour to Muir Woods National Monument, followed by a leisurely visit to scenic Sausalito.
Muir Woods, only 13 miles from San Francisco, is nestled in a valley that kept it from being logged. Today the park offers visitors a chance to see the tallest trees in their natural habitat. Visitors come to this park to enjoy the pristine park, to contemplate the quiet of the Cathedral Grove, to search for salmon in Redwood Creek, and to hike the many trails.
As we exit the park, we will drive to Muir Beach, the location where Redwood Creek flows to the Pacific Ocean. Enjoy a walk along the Pacific Ocean, if desired. Finally we will continue our adventure in the coastal city of Sausalito. This charming town, sits along Richardson Bay and offers lovely views of the San Francisco Bay. We will have time to stroll along the streets at the edge of the water, visiting art galleries, shops, cafes and restaurants.
This is a custom tour and we will adjust timing and destinations to you.
On a typical itinerary we will pick up visitors in San Francisco and drive over the Golden Gate Bridge to Marin County. If desired, we will stop at the North Vista Point of the Golden Gate Bridge for views of San Francisco and the bridge. We proceed to Muir Woods where I will drop you at the gate before proceeding for parking. After about 1 1/2 – 2 hours at Muir Woods, we will pick you up and drive you to Sausalito for a 2 hour visit to the art galleries, shops, and restaurants. This is a custom tour and you can direct me to other destinations in and around Marin County such as the Bay Model in Sausalito, the Frank Lloyd Wright Civic Center in Marin and others.

Duration: 6 hours
All transportation to and from Muir Woods and Sausalito by a private driving service, and the services of an expert tour guide. The guide will provide commentary, maps and recommendations for the tour as desired.
Admission to Muir Woods for adults, free to children age 15 and under. You may wish to stop for lunch, snacks or souvenirs.
